HAPS
need your help!!!
We have made great effort to make animal welfare activity to be known and
considered as an important issue among the local communities and
government higher officials of our country with your kind support.
Besides your support, though we have used all our efforts and
opportunities with full devotion and honesty to show the importance of the
animal welfare activity by convincing and signing operational agreement
with the government to implement the pilot project, we could not move
according to our plan due to lack of necessary support.
As you have understood from the three consecutive quarterly reports
concerning this pilot project we have used the donation from Royal
Society for the prevention of Cruelty to Animals /RSPCA/ for spay
neuter program for some other related activities not to stop it at all
hoping we might get donation for other activities as we have send our
proposal that gets acceptance by the government to all our supporters.
At this moment we are working very hard to get funding from inside and or
outside the country to replace the RSPCA donation and cover the
costs of the rest of the activities to fully implement the project with
the remaining time of the project life.
If this is not possible we will keep on trying all our best to ask the
government to extend the project time by mentioning the problems faced to
have time to get necessary support and implement the project.
Beside this problem, we are also working with the
AMSALE GESSESSE MEMORIAL FOUNDATION
USA,
who observed our effort for the animals and the sever situations of
animals in our country while the foundations representatives were in
Ethiopia recently and has planned to construct an animal shelter with all
the necessary facilities for our society HAPS based on the promise from
the city Mayor to give a plot of land for the construction.
Still we are doing all this without losing hope to sustain the foundation
of our start up animal welfare activity to see our long time dream of
bringing a better situation for the animals realized.
What so ever will be the result, we believe the spot light we showed about
animal welfare for the government officials at all level and the local
community with your Kind and continual support should not be eliminated at
all.
Therefore we are in need of your kindest support than ever for the next
six months to keep on our day to day activity used to be carried out for
the poor animals of Ethiopia.
We thank you very much in advance for your kind support for the
continuation of our effort to help the poor and abandoned animals.
